Sigurd.

Almost 70 years ago my good friend Sigurd came to the United States from Norway. At age 18 he enrolled in a technical school to become a television repairman. After testing he found he qualified to enter a four-year college. He graduated from a New York State school with a degree in engineering. He moved to Attend graduate school at the University of California. He graduated and went to work as an Aeronautical engineer for Hughes Aircraft. He specialized in rockets and their payload satellites. After decades at Hughes Aircraft he became an international consultant for countries interested in sending up satellites. Sigurd and I became good friends 21 years ago when he moved to Northern Idaho. He and I and I loved fishing. We enjoyed many days fishing lake Pend Oreille near Bayview, Idaho. where I live. He caught silver salmon, rainbow trout, lake trout, bull trout commonly called Dolly Varden as well as many spiny rays. Below is a picture of Sigurd and one of his many beautiful catches. With nearly 90 years of age contributing to the good of his family and community Sigurd passed away this spring 2022. I miss him and his wonderful friendship and smile and his always willingness to help others. He will always be with us in spirit and in our goals to be better people. With love and respect. Harry
